Q1: What do you feed your dogs and puppies?
A1: We feed our adult dogs Diamond Naturals Large Breed Dog food. We start our puppies on Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy food. It is highly recommended that you feed your German Shepherd puppy a food that is specifically designed for large breeds. Ideally it should contain 1.2%-1.8% calcium and 1.0% to 1.6% phosphorus. A diet with too much calcium increases the risk of your pup developing dysplasia. Overfeeding and the pup being overweight has also shown to increase the pup's risk of dysplasia as well.

Q2: How are the puppies socialized before they go to their new homes?
A2: Our puppies are born and raised in our home with our family. They are handled daily and are desensitized to being held, touched on their feet, ears, stomachs, and tails. We start introducing our puppies to ENS at about 3 days until around 14 days old. Since the puppies are raised in our home they are introduced to all of the sounds that every day life has to hold. They are also introduced to new items to build their confidence.
Around the 4 week mark, we have friends and family to visit to play and introduce new people to the puppies to get them socialized with people outside of our home.

Q3: Do you potty train the puppies before they go home.
A3: Puppies are not fully potty trained before going home at around 8 weeks. We do start the potty training process by preventing accidents in our home and  starting a routine so that their new owners will have a foundation to start on.
Q4: Where do I start with training my new puppy?
A4: We offer to start basic obedience training with your puppy at an additional fee.
